| Problem | It is often not clear from the final reports generated from a typical TeamX session, which design options were considered and dismissed and why they were dismissed. It is not possible to investigate the sensitivity of the design to changes in the design parameters, or trace back the many decisions to their causes afterwards. |
| Objective | The goal of this research is to experiment using SpecTRM during the course of a typical TeamX session for capturing the design process, the design options considered, the basis for making the design decisions, and the hazards and risk associated with these decisions. We anticipate that using the unique features of SpecTRM to provide traceability and hazard analysis may help alleviate the problems stated above. |
