| Problem | Traceability has become a challenge for many groups of stakeholders now, not just IV&V analysts who must evaluate and/or build Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) after the fact. The advent of Sarbanes-Oxley Act has made the business world very interested in traceability and its automation. An informal community of researchers and collaborating sponsors and/or industrial partners has started to form and have identified a need for a Center of Excellence or Consortium for Traceability. The Center would bring together synergistic resources to define and then address grand challenges in the area. Such a Center is proposed here. |
