| Problem | The generation of software metrics is primarily the domain of the individual IV&V project. This effort will support and enhance the generation of software metrics including recommendations of the types of metrics to generate for a given project. To the extent possible this effort will assist researchers in generating additional data for an original data set in order to broaden or deepen their dataset for that project. Software metrics currently being generated include, but are not limited to, complexity, Halstead, object-oriented metrics, and error density metrics. |
| Objective |
The goals of this task are to support the NASA IV&V Facility in the development of a Metrics Data Program (MDP) for use by the software community. The primary objective of the Metrics Data Program is to collect, validate, organize, store and deliver software metrics data. A NASA IV&V repository shall be created and maintained to provide project non-specific data to the software community. This repository shall include:
