| Problem |
A development team does not know which modules tend to be faulty until late in the development process. Credible ranking of modules with respect to a quality factor, in accordance with process specifications, allows the team to focus enhancement efforts on modules that need it most. A good modeling tool and useful project data are needed to build the underlying quality prediction models. |
| Objective |
Readily available data from large software CMS and PRS can enable us to build software quality models that can rank modules with respect to a quality factor (Module-Order Modeling). MOM(s) can assist in effective resource utilization with better cost-effective software quality improvements. An empirical modeling tool, that demonstrates effective applicability of MOM(s), will be developed. |
