Problem
|
How can we enhance the modeling capabilities of NASA's IV&V teams? More specifically:
(a) what and how can we apply general tools can we bring to bear on the modeling problems?
(b) what exactly can we offer to particular projects.
|
|
Objective
|
The goal is to identify opportunities to match WVU research expertise with NASA research needs, yielding benefits to both organizations. Because of the unique nature of this liaison role, the work assignment for this position will include teaching, research, service and administrative duties in different proportions than is typical for other faculty within the LDCSEE.
With the new emphasis on model-based early lifecycle validation, it is appropriate for the liaison to move closer to active projects.
Objective 1: Demonstrate presence in the information flow on the JUNO project
Objective 2: Find innovative methods for handling UML within NASA projects
Objective 3: Successfully increasing access of researchers to NASA project data
